Giving

 Dear Christian Giver,

Thank you for your willingness to give to New Vision Community Church. We are commissioned to work together to further the Kingdom of God. The Bible is very clear about giving. Giving is part of demonstrating our obedience to God. Jesus told His disciples to go into all the world, preaching the gospel to every creature. He said “you shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be My witnesses…”

As a reminder I want tell you that every time you give to God it’s not just an act of obedience, but it is also a privilege. It’s a privilege to make it possible for people to go and preach the gospel to all the world. You are saved today because God sent someone to speak to you about Him and you received Christ as your personal Savior. As you heard the truth of the gospel truth from a messenger God sent your way, I believe you owe it to those who have yet to hear the truth. I pray that you give to the Lord in that Spirit and giving as a privilege to take part in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tithes and Offering: 

A tithe is the first tenth of your income. Offering is above and beyond that. These funds given will cover the budget set forth and approved by the congregation of New Vision Community Church.

Short-term Mission Trips: 

When giving, you may support an individual or mission trip. Please specify which trip you would like your funds to support and which individual you are supporting.

Benevolence: 

These funds will be used to help those of the Church and surrounding community in need financially.

Building Projects: The church will have on-going projects that will need additional funding not set forth by the operating budget.

The ultimate giving example is set by God Himself. He gave His own Son as a sacrificial gift for our sins (Ephesians 5:2). Every good and perfect gift comes from God. Therefore, the resources with which He has blessed us ultimately belong to Him. It is our responsibility to be good stewards of God’s resources and give back to Him a portion of them however He may lead.
